Once you obtain the Kinstone bag, you will be able to collect and fuse Kinstone pieces with others. When you walk up to a person, a thought bubble may appear. This indicates that they have a Kinstone piece you can fuse with. To fuse with them, press 
. Kinstone fusions unlock a variety of things that are indicated by icons on the map. There are a total of 100 possible fusions. Ten of them have to be done to advance the story. Only a few fusions are available at the start and more become available as you progress through the story. Kinstone pieces can be found from cutting grass, opening chests, or dropped by enemies. They can also be bought from the Goron merchant in Hyrule Town for Rupees.
