The Ren & Stimpy Show Presents: Stimpy's Invention is a platform game, that was developed by BlueSky Software and released by Sega upon their Genesis console in 1993; it is the fifth title in the Ren & Stimpy series and the fourth produced after Games Animations took over from Spümcø in the production for the show. Although this game shares its title with a Spümcø-produced episode (which was the basis for the third stage of Veediots), the story is completely different - and this was also the first title in the series to allow two people to play simultaneously: 1P plays Ren and 2P plays Stimpy.

Story[edit]

This is taken from the back of the game's box, the front of which is displayed in the image to the right:

Nickelodeon's hit animated series "The Ren & Stimpy Show"
comes to Genesis. Stimpy's latest invention, the Mutate-O-
Matic, explodes, wreaking havoc in the neighborhood! The
town heroes chase down the pieces through dangerous
challenges - traveling from Mr. Horse's over-populated
refrigerator to the far reaches of the great outdoors!

As shown in one of the screenshots below, the four letters of the Sega logo are also brought into view from the right side of the screen by the hat-wearing & baton-holding "LOG" (which was marketed as a toy from a fictitious company named "Blammo", in the show's Spümcø years) at the start of the game.
