Russia is beginning their skirmishes against Georgia concerning the South Ossetta region, in order to deal with rebels in the region.

[edit] Main area
You are deployed in the south-east corner of the map, and will need to clear out the area. At this point, your solders are relatively inexperienced, and may have trouble holding their own against enemies.
The first target will be in a small shelter overlooking a large area. While he is alone, he will fire upon your team if they are spotted, and it is likely the team will be discovered. However, if you take him out, a group of three enemy rebels will arrive shortly.
There are three routes to the northern area. The eastern most is guarded by a rebel manning a machine gun nest, who can be sniped without difficulty. The left path is fortified with multiple solders. A central path is also available, but is not as useful if you clear out either of the other two paths.
Once you reach the upper section, there is no need to worry about patrolling rebels, as they generally remain at their stations. Most notably, the two non-objective clusters are at the lookout bunker, and on the left ramp leading to the upper section of the map.
[edit] Neutralize Tent Camp Troops
The tent camp troops are located in the north-east section of the map. They are unaware of the nearby combat, and are simply relaxing and talking together.
A well placed grenade can take out about four enemies before they can react. The other rebels will be alert and will need to be taken down.
[edit] Secure the Caves
The caves are located in the north-west section.
The two guards outside the cave can be quickly defeated. As you enter the cave, try to kill any rebel holding a rifle before proceeding.
[edit] Capture Papashvili
The optional objective is to capture the rebel leader. He will only surrender if you clear out the other solders in the cave; otherwise he will equip a pistol and attack.
Capturing the rebel allows you to recruit W. Jacobs, a specialist equipped with the OICW.
[edit] Return to the Insertion Zone
As you complete the main objectives, enemies will reinforce the lower region. A group will appear at the eastern access path, while others will patrol the area between the pass and the starting region.
If you clear out all remaining enemies, you will complete this mission. Otherwise, you may have to sneak around the southern part of the map.
