VIP 2 is within the US Embassy, but needs help being extracted. Clear a route to the embassy and ensure VIP 2 is rescued safely.
Insertion[edit]
As the helicopter approaches the insertion point, it almost immediately takes fire from ground solders. Quickly exit the helicopter and engage the enemies. You will find targets taking cover behind cars, but also some targets that move from behind the building to the east.
All enemies arrive from one general direction, and will need to be defeated. If you seem to be unable to advance tot he next part of the mission, there is an enemy still taking cover. Usually, these will be two soldiers to the left of the insertion point.
Convoy ambush[edit]
You will need to intercept a troop convoy arriving from the northeast. From the fountain square, the enemies will arrive first in an armored car, and a truck filled with soldiers.
After the enemy is defeated, you will be directed to a drop point. However, an enemy vehicle is still around. It will arrive from behind the skyscraper to the southwest before turning away from the fountain square.
Resupply[edit]
After the engagements, you will need to head to the southwest for resupply. In addition to the armored vehicle, you will need to watch for machine gun nests in various locations. One can be found on top of a building down the south-west street.
Before you reach the drop point, you are informed of two ADATs within the vicinity, both of which need to be destroyed.
The first ADAT is located to the western area as you proceed to the former drop zone. It is located behind a medium sized building, and near a smaller one that has stairs to an open second floor.

While there are machinegun nests in the route to both ADATS, they are mostly found on the southern route towards the drop point.
Once both ADATs are destroyed using Airstrikes, the Blackhawk will arrive, allowing you to change weapons or resupply. The next portion of the mission will involve heavy contact with infantry and vehicles.
Saving VIP 2[edit]
As you approach the US Embassy, it receives a large explosion. This is a precursor to an incoming attack by rebel forces; get into position within the embassy to protect the VIP.
The first wave will arrive from the northwest. Three enemies should be arriving from the far building as soon as the Apache helicopters claim to arrive in three minutes. This is followed by a frontal attack of soldiers, and a vehicle, but watch for a single soldier making a second flanking attempt.
When the tank arrives, use the command menu to direct the Apache helicopters to destroy it.
After the tank is destroyed, pick up VIP 2 and place him onto the Blackhawk helicopter.
Extraction[edit]
Hold out for a few more minutes before your extraction arrives. After VIP 2 departs, you will first spot enemies arriving from across the monument. After they are defeated, a vehicle and tank will arrive from the southwest; head to the eastern side of the building on the first floor to defend against the tank as it arrives. It will eventually park on the central monument; take it out with air support.
A final tank will arrive from behind the monument.
Once all tanks are destroyed, the blackhawk will arrive to pick you up. However, there are stragglers that are near or approaching the monument from the northwest.
