Dungeon entrance[edit]
The dungeon entrance is located in the mountains between Britain and Skara Brae.
The only way to get there is by water, rowing up the river passing between Skara Brae and Empath Abbey. You can borrow the skiff in Skara Brae using the "Vanish" and "Reappear" spells.
Dungeon walkthrough[edit]
According to the Ultima philosophy, Shame is the opposite of Honor. Honor comes from the union of Truth and Courage, therefore Shame comes from the union of Falsehood and Cowardice.
Gold nuggets are scattered all over dungeon Shame. Also, if your character equips and uses a shovel or a pick, there is high chance of digging up more gold. Two shovels and a pick were already found in previous dungeons, two more can be taken near the entrance of Dungeon Shame.
- Floor 1
Use the "Unlock magic" spell to enter the underground house. Fight the enemies and loot the room. After that, there are three directions you can take: (1) to the north, there is a fork and two dead ends; (2) to the west, you can get down to the third floor, but you will find again two dead ends; (3) to the south, use "Reappear/Vanish" and your skiff to cross the water and collect many gold nuggets, then get down the ladder.
- Floor 2
From the south passage, this is just a short corridor towards the next floor.
- Floor 3
After you pass a poison marsh, you will reach a fork. To the north, there is a long tunnel leading to some nice items. To the south, there are two stairs leading down: the southernmost one leads to another dead end, the north-east one is the one you need.
- Floor 4
This floor is a very long tunnel without relevant forks. At a certain point, you will meet Ybarra, who will exchange the map piece for some food. You can use the "Create food" spell, if needed. If you continue along the tunnel, you will ultimately reach a dead end.
Item summary[edit]
The exact number of gold nuggets may vary: sometimes they spawn instead of enemies. If you go through the dungeon once, the amount you can get is about 70 nuggets.

The shovel and the pick can be used in Dungeon Shame to dig up more gold nuggets. Exchange all the gold nuggets for 10 GC each in Britain.
