A snowy bunker, a lush swamp cave, the vented top of a skyscraper -- all three environments linked together in one playfield by teleporters. What's not to like?
[edit] Description
Three small maps linked together to form one battleground. All three areas are mostly open. The snowy bunker area has a small enclosed bunker, and the lush swamp has a small two-level cave.
[edit] Environmental Hazards
You can fall or be shot off the skyscraper and fall to your death.
[edit] Special Features
The three teleporters look like archways with large shimmering images of the area they will teleport you to, unlike the normal glowing spheres used in most maps.
There are high winds in the snowy bunker area. Using jump boots to jump up from the roof of the bunker will cause you to be blown up against the tower, hopefully where the redeemer spawns.
There is a pit with an oscillating ventilator fan at one end of the skyscraper roof. Jumping down into it will blow you up in the air to a tall platform where the shield belt spawns.
The skyscraper section has low gravity; a fall from any height in this section will not cause damage.
[edit] Important Item Locations
Chest Armor: In the lush swamp area, on a raised column of earth that is accessible by jump boots or by dropping down from the mouth of the highest cave exit.
|
Thigh Armor: In the snowy bunker area, on the roof of a long storage container. It is accessible by a double-jump from the broken scaffolding on a nearby ramp, from a double-jump off the bunker roof, or via jump boots.
|
Jump Boots 1: In the cave on the bottom level.
|
Jump Boots 2: Out in the water on the far side of the raised column of earth that holds the chest armor.
|
Shield Belt: In the skyscraper roof area, on the highest platform. It is only accessible by dropping into the ventilator fan and letting yourself be blown up there.
|
Redeemer: In the snowy bunker area. It spawns on a ledge on the high tower across the path from the bunker, near the teleporter to the lush swamp area…
|
…it is only reachable by using jump boots to raise up to a level even with the ledge, at which point the windy special effect will blow you up to the ledge. The easiest jump is from the bunker roof.

[edit] Strategies & Tactics
- There are two ammo clips for the flak cannon on some boxes on the level above where the cannon lies; they are accessible via jump boots, or through a lift-assisted double-jump
- Rocket launcher is a good default weapon for close range and medium range encounters
- There will be lots of medium to long-range fights because of the open area, so pick up the stinger and shock rifle
- If you are low on health, you can hang near a teleporter for a quick escape if you are being overwhelmed
- In the skyscraper level, it is very difficult for enemies to shoot you while you are being blown around by the ventilator fan, but not quite as hard for you to lock onto them with the rocket launcher from mid-air
