Welcome to StrategyWiki![edit]

Hello Flufftailer! Welcome to StrategyWiki. Thank you for your contributions. If you have any questions, just contact a sysop through their talk page or post on the staff lounge, and they'd be happy to help. If you need help editing, check the StrategyWiki Guide or ask a sysop, we're usually around. On the other hand, if you have ideas for StrategyWiki, bring them up on the forums. To keep up-to-date with the goings on of the wiki, consider adding the noticeboard to your watchlist.

Please remember to sign your name when leaving comments on talk pages by clicking Wikisigbutton.png or using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Feel free to delete this message from your talk page if you like, or keep it for reference. Happy editing! — Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 17:39, 16 December 2013 (UTC)

Why is Mario Party/Walkthrough empty?[edit]

Because you haven't written it yet. Procyon 23:41, 19 May 2014 (UTC)

Duplication[edit]

Please do not create redundant lists. E.g. this diff. If we have original content in two places, neither one will be kept up to date, nor synchronized. Instead, just create a list, if you need to, on one page that links to the location in, say, the appendices where the details are. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 16:02, 20 May 2014 (UTC)

That edit doesn't even make sense. Why would you copy information about 4-play games into the Game Modes page? What were you trying to accomplish? Procyon 19:49, 20 May 2014 (UTC)
I was not thinking things through enough. I am sorry about that. Did my next edit fix the content problem? Flufftailer (talk) 12:40, 24 May 2014 (UTC)
No need to apologize. No one is mad. You didn't do anything wrong. Procyon is just being critical. Yes, the change you made looks fine. However, if I may suggest an improvement, duplicate lists look better as a simple table, or a bulleted list, with a link to the page with details above it (e.g. use {{details}}). You appear to have the energy and desire to improve this guide so maybe you can work on it for us? I'll nudge you a bit so don't worry about making a mistake or something. I am really busy this weekend. Thanks! I really appreciate your edits. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 23:11, 24 May 2014 (UTC)
I'm not sure what this table or bulleted list would look like. I will try to work on the other parts of the guide. Flufftailer (talk) 23:54, 28 May 2014 (UTC)
E.g. four minigame titles listed in a row (see below), like a basic list. I see, however, that these modes appear to have unique minigames that found in the appendices categories, and that "Challenge Booksquirm" is actually a unique variant of the original minigame. The info under Challenge Booksquirm is great. It points to the original, but outlines the differences it has. The page looks fine now. If all of these are 4 player minigames, I would add links to the game modes page from the 4-player mini games page. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 00:31, 29 May 2014 (UTC)

Example list[edit]

  • Title 1: description.
  • Title 2: description.
  • Title 3: description.
  • Title 4: description.

Example list as table[edit]

Name Description
Challenge Booksquirm Lorem ipsum...
Title 2 ...
Title 3 ...
Title 4 ...

Mario Party 7[edit]

I made Mario Party 7 September's collab of the month, so hopefully it will get some eyes on the work that you do. =) --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 00:44, 3 September 2014 (UTC)

Pre-load buttons[edit]

The pre-load buttons.

In order to keep pages on the wiki neat and uniform, we employ certain formatting and templates to help us accomplish this. When creating a new page, please use one of the pre-load buttons located above the edit text box (e.g. click on "Guide page" to add {{Header Nav}} to the top and {{Footer Nav}} to the bottom), which will insert the needed templates and formatting for you. These templates are very handy because they include the templates that are required for each page type. If you are unsure about how to use them, or what pages to use them on, please let me know. Thanks for keeping the wiki organized! — Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 16:23, 10 September 2014 (UTC)

I am notifying you of this because Mario Party 7/Bowser's Enchanted Inferno lacked {{Header Nav}} and {{Footer Nav}}, which are mandatory. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 16:23, 10 September 2014 (UTC)

Redirecting to a category[edit]

Hi Flufftailer, thanks for fixing all of the Yoshi's Island redirects. When redirecting to a category, make sure the link starts with a colon, otherwise the redirect page will be categorized, too. See this diff for how I fixed the Game Gear redirect. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 19:32, 23 December 2014 (UTC)

Move Reason Mistake[edit]

In moving Yoshi's Wolly World, I accidentally pressed <enter> before I had finished typing the reason for the move. It should have ended with "two o's." --Flufftailer (talk) 20:51, 26 January 2015 (UTC)

FF2 image typos[edit]

Hey Flufftailer, thanks for the heads up. Typo on my part, I'll fix it up. Procyon 01:07, 19 October 2015 (UTC)
