Welcome to StrategyWiki![edit]

Hello Posfan12! Welcome to StrategyWiki. Thank you for your contributions. If you have any questions, just contact a sysop through their talk page or post on the staff lounge, and they'd be happy to help. If you need help editing, check the StrategyWiki Guide or visit the IRC channel to chat, we're usually around. On the other hand, if you have ideas for StrategyWiki, bring them up on the forums. To keep up-to-date with the goings on of the wiki, consider adding the noticeboard to your watchlist.

Please remember to sign your name when leaving comments on talk pages by clicking Wikisigbutton.png or using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Feel free to delete this message from your talk page if you like, or keep it for reference. Happy editing! — najzereT 18:50, 18 March 2010 (UTC)

Image uploads[edit]

Please see our policy on image naming and categorization. For consistency and ease of use throughout the wiki, image names should contain the name of the game or its abbreviation and a one or two word description. All images also need the appropriate categories added, as well as the guide-specific image category (e.g. [[Category:Gothic images]]). Thanks for helping to keep our images neat! — najzereT 19:03, 18 March 2010 (UTC)

Joy2key gothic example.png deletion[edit]

Hi, I've marked Image:Joy2key gothic example.png for deletion as information about third party utilities is outside our scope policy. The external link to the download page is kind of borderline, but since it may be helpful to readers and is used within the context of the page, I think it's all right. Just be aware that we like to stick to guide content and host everything here on the wiki. Normally external links all go in an "External links" section on the guide's main page. Let me know if you have any questions, and thanks for working on the Gothic guide! :) — najzereT 19:03, 18 March 2010 (UTC)

Template discussion[edit]

Hi, I moved the topic you started on the main page talk page to the staff lounge and added a bullet to the noticeboard. — najzereT 20:35, 22 April 2010 (UTC)

The preload buttons.

In order to keep pages on the wiki neat and uniform, we employ certain formatting and templates to help us accomplish this. When creating a new page, please use one of the preload buttons located above the edit text box, which will insert the needed templates and formatting for you. Thanks for keeping the wiki organized! — najzereT 21:52, 23 April 2010 (UTC)

Upcoming Meeting[edit]

Hey, as a heads up, we're having a meeting on IRC this Saturday. Among the topics being covered is improving the keyboard chart template you made, so it'd be great if you'd be able to attend. The meeting is this coming saturday, May 29, at 2 pm EDT (UTC -4), on IRC. If you don't have an IRC client and would like to come, you can click on the "Chat" link in the sidebar and we'll direct you to the correct location. Thanks, and hope to see you there! --Skizzerz 03:57, 27 May 2010 (UTC)

Will try to make it, but it's close to my b-day (30th) and Memorial Day (31st), so I may be out for the day. Posfan12 08:30, 27 May 2010 (UTC)

Two things[edit]

First, you forgot to include [[Category:NetHack images]] when you uploaded the keyboard illustration, but more importantly, we have a template that can recreate that image directly on the site, {{kbdchart}}. It would be cool if you could either add the correct category to the image you uploaded, or mark it for deletion and recreate the map using the kbdchart template. We'd appreciate your help with this. Thanks. Procyon 00:26, 11 January 2017 (UTC)

OK, I'm an idiot, I forgot that you were the one who originated that template. So that begs the question: Why didn't you use it? Why upload an image instead of using the very template you created? Procyon 00:28, 11 January 2017 (UTC)
There's no good way to print the template AFAIK. Can you think of one? Posfan12 (talk) 01:44, 11 January 2017 (UTC)
