[edit] Welcome to StrategyWiki!

Hello Teddy! Welcome to StrategyWiki. Thank you for your contributions. If you have any questions, just contact a sysop through their talk page or post on the staff lounge, and they'd be happy to help. If you need help editing, check the StrategyWiki Guide. If you have a question about the content on this wiki, you can check out our staff lounge page. If you want to ask questions or hang out in IRC, we're usually around. On the other hand, if you have ideas for StrategyWiki, bring them up on the community portal talk page. Please remember to sign your name on, and only on, talk pages by clicking Image:Wikisigbutton.png or using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Finally, please do your best to always fill in the edit summary field as this helps to document all of your hard work. Feel free to delete this message from your talk page if you like, or keep it for reference. Happy editing! -- Prod (Talk) 21:27, 19 February 2008 (CST)

If this is who I assume it is, looks like I got you hooked :) If it's not... I apologize. Procyon (Talk) 22:18, 19 February 2008 (CST)

[edit] MediaWiki CSS and JS pages

Our convention for the CSS and JS pages in the MediaWiki namespace (aka MediaWiki:Common.css and the like) is to make changes in the talk page first (such as MediaWiki talk:Common.css - click the blue Discussion link in the toolbox), then put that into a CSS/JS compressor (linked to on each talk page), and finally throw that output into the main page. This way there isn't any extra whitespace that gets in the way and future changes made will not erase previous changes. --Skizzerz_Scissors.png Safety Skizzerz {{ Talk | Contribs | Spel Chek™ | VFG | RTFM }} 15:32, 20 February 2008 (CST)

What is the change here? Please do it on the talk page first. -- Prod (Talk) 20:52, 20 February 2008 (CST)
Please do not remove any more guide specific classes from MediaWiki.css - the reason they were placed in there was for the idea of being ambiguous to specific skins. Considering I was probably the primary lobbyist for this sort of thing, and I have stopped using my re-skin of bluecloud, it's best to leave them in until we come to a complete consensus on the matter. [edit] Images

When uploading images, make sure you check other images for the correct categories - all games have their own specific image category. Thus, for Chrono Trigger, please remember to add Category:Chrono Trigger images to every image for that game. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 18:26, 20 February 2008 (CST)

Additionally it's courtesy (and common sense) to add a comment to the image regarding its origins... It's easier to avoid hassles with other websites if you're the original author or if you actually credit them. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 00:06, 21 February 2008 (CST)

[edit] Templates

After modifying a template, remember to go back through and update all the ones you changed (i.e. null->strength, or deletion of imagesize)... --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 02:27, 22 February 2008 (CST)
