Navs

Spoiler tags

I noticed you had 4 different spoiler tags on your FF IX page. If someone is following a walkthrough, there is only so many spoilers they can avoid. Trying to hide the content of the guide because it reveals plot points that they're about to find out defeats the purpose. I would suggest trying to be more ambiguous ("talk to this character for some plot development") or to move the content somewhere else. No problem, I was just being overly sensitive about it, most likely, and I'll try to be more vague about anything I think may be problematic in the future. Of course, I generally don't do a lot of walkthrough stuff because it takes longer (for me anyway) than most of the other content or cleanup work.--Vizeroth 19:54, 19 January 2009 (UTC)

I would suggest not putting {{Company stub}} on most of those company pages where you copy info from WP. In nearly all cases, no more information will ever be added, and we're not trying to be the ultimate resource for gaming company information. I think the stub should only be used for pages with zero content on them. - najzere 22:57, 19 February 2009 (UTC)

It's better to have it that way, since there are plenty of people out there that are as neurotic as I am about red links on their pages, yet haven't been editing pages for a year or two to have admins tell them where they're screwing it up every once in a while. Re: Numbered Headings

I have absolutely no problem with headings for organization purposes, however I have one problem with this one. Consistency. It is the main page for the game, and all other pages like it (or at least the majority) do not use headings.

If it is important enough for its own heading on the main page, then it should get its own page, such as being put under Getting Started or whichever place it fits. I didn't do it with this one because it had hardly any content anyway.

Anyhow, I won't change it back, I guess you can go ahead and do whatever you like with it, I just wanted to give my thoughts. Flagrama 04:46, 16 February 2009 (UTC)

I'd suggest putting in the original text with a link to the original version, the name of the creator and a mention of the license in the edit summary. From there, it's open for anyone to edit without having to worry about copyrights anymore. -- Prod (Talk) 06:24, 22 February 2009 (UTC)

Subpaging

When subpaging a major content page, try to move the source page somewhere permanent so the edit histories stay intact, and then point back to where the content was from in the subpaged edit histories. I moved Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War/Units to Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War/Space Marines for this purpose. -- Prod (Talk) 05:23, 15 March 2009 (UTC)
