Maps come in two significant forms: normal (melee) and custom. Normal maps are simply maps that were created for skirmishes and normal gameplay scenarios, whereas custom maps contain limitless amounts of additional code and unit customization to provide scenarios beyond normal gameplay.
Blizzard Maps[edit]
For each game, Blizzard has created many normal maps that players can either play alone with or against computer players, or online with or against both other players and computer players. The following is a list of the maps that come with each game.
