Hitting Home Runs[edit]

Medal Requirements
Bronze Medal 5 runs
Silver Medal 8 runs
Gold Medal 10 runs
Platinum Medal 10 runs
5650 ft.

The pitcher will toss 10 balls at you and your job is to hit as many as you can. They will only count if the ball is a home run. If the ball goes further than 400 feet, then you pretty much have a home run. If you can manage to get the ball out of the park, you gain a huge shout from the audience. To get it out of the park, you will need a ball to go about 600 ft.

At first, you pretty much won't care how far your hits will go, as long as you get home runs. However to get the Platinum medal, you are required to hit all 10 shots with a score of 5650 ft. or higher to qualify. Learning when to hit the ball is your biggest bet in getting that great score. Hitting the ball too early or too late results in the ball traveling past the foul line, which doesn't count.

When you fail to hit a ball, only just touch it, hit a foul ball or generally don’t hit a home run, the ball space in your tracker will appear blank. If it is a home run, it will be a golden star. If it is an "Out of The Park" (requiring anything between 180 m for the side of the stadium to 210 m for the front of the stadium), then there will be a much bigger golden star.

Swing Control[edit]

Medal Requirements
Bronze Medal 25 pts
Silver Medal 40 pts
Gold Medal 55 pts
Platinum Medal 65 pts

As before, the pitcher will throw ten baseballs at your way and your job is to hit them. This time though, you have to hit the ball in the blue shaded area. The darker the color, the more points you earn. The path the ball takes will be shown in orange.

Points
Bad zone (good hit) 1 pts
White zone 3 pts
Blue zone 6 pts
Darker blue zone 10 pts

The first four throws takes the ball in a straight path. Hit the ball at the correct time to get the ball in that spot. They are absolutely straight so just hit the ball at the right time. Throws 5–7 take the path a little to the left (or right if you are left handed). Hit the ball a little early and the ball will lean to the left but don't hit the ball too early! Throws 8–10 take the path to the right (or left if you're left handed). Hitting the ball a little late should make the ball travel a little to the right. But don't hit the ball too late!

Batting Practice[edit]

Medal Requirements
Bronze Medal 15 pts
Silver Medal 20 pts
Gold Medal 27 pts
Platinum Medal 30 pts

The pitcher will throw you a total of 30 balls. Your job is to hit as many as you can out of the possible 30. The first few pitches are over the plate but don't be fooled! He can throw curve balls, slow ones, and fast ones!

Remember everything you know about batting. The balls do not have to stay fair, but only foul balls that are still hit quite far count – foul balls that are just nicked behind you don't count. You really need to practice a lot if you want to get all 30 of them. Easier said than done! Nonetheless, it's possible with practice.
