WindSlayer Monk.png

Description: from the Wind Slayer website, "By disciplining the body and mind without a cease, monks are trying to reach the extreme stage of martial arts. Their power are merely based on spiritual strength and body which are as hard as steel, instead of strong weapons or armors.

Hero King, called the most strong man ever existed, was also a monk.

Even some of them are too confident to look down on others and addicted themselves to boast idly, most of them are modest to go into retreat and revel in training themselves.

In Beuritania, a lot of unknown monks are training their successors in hidden places."

Monk use gauntlets as their weapon equipment of choice (however their most common attack is with their foot). They have high damage but less defence than the Warriors. Their skills are mostly attacks, but they have one self-buff and a skill to increase hp regeneration. Fighters have strong skills and high damage. Counters have skills that work as counterattacks.

How to become a Monk

To become a monk, a character must complete the quest, “Way of the Monk”.

The quest requires to kill 20 Monkey Soldiers and bring Gangun 5 Monkey Horns and an Advanced Class License to complete. To receive the quest to become a monk, please go to Monk Temple in Ozi Village.

You can receive the quest from Gangun there.

Stat Builds[edit]

These are suggested builds.

You only need to put points into STR, SPR, and Int. Dex does nothing for Monks. Since Monks has the strongest basic attack most people go pure STR for as much damage as possible, but it is also common to keep SPR the same as your level for extra defense. Counter Monks may want more SPR if they plan on using the counterblow skill because of the damage you'll take if you fail. Using mana potions instead of adding points into INT is better, but since you can't use potions in pvp you might want to add points into INT.

The type of build you use will vary depending on what you plan on advancing to for the second job. Monks can become either a Shaolin or a Counter.

Shaolin
  • Full STR
  • 3 STR, 1 SPR
Counter
  • 2 STR, 2 SPR
  • 3 STR, 1 SPR

Full STR could be used by a Counter because of the high attack power, but if you use the counterblow skill and fail, you could take a lot of damage.
