Yoshi's Story/Rail Lift

Once you start off, you'll relatively soon encounter Stilt Shy Guys, which can be difficult to deal with; it's best to avoid them by jumping over them using the Surprise Balls. Right at the beginning you can find Miss Warp #1. When you encounter a big wall, you need to ascend it using the Surprise Balls, being sure to not get hit by the enemies on the way. At the end, go forward to get to the next area.

In here, you'll see the titular object of this level: Rail Lifts. Jump onto them and they will follow a set path. There are coins and fruits on the way, but note that it is easy to fall off. The first Rail Lift leads down to the bottom area. Go to the far right to discover Miss Warp #2. Once you want to continue, jump onto the Rail Lift that just goes in circles, and hit the switch with an egg to allow the Rail Lift to continue. Be sure to avoid the enemies and the Bounce Ball so you won't fall down accidentally. On your way you will need to hop across to another Rail Lift to continue your journey. At the end of the route, go forward to get to the next section, where you'll find a Special Delivery (see the melon section for details) and Miss Warp #3. Go forward and enter the next area.

Here, a Bounce Ball prevents further progress, so shoot the switch to make it move out of the way temporarily. Use the opportunity to jump across the pit. In the next area, you need to jump across the Rail Lifts, however, below you there's a large pit, so falling down results into death. Hop across all the Rail Lifts to get to the other side of the pit. After it, there is a second large pit area you need to cross. This time, you need to make sure to hit all the switches on the way so your Rail Lift doesn't drop down into the abyss. At the end, you'll find Miss Warp #4 and a red pipe that leads back to the beginning.

Melon List

1. Carried by a Shy Guy near the second Egg Block.
2. Inside a Question Bubble hovering over a pit.
3. Right after melon #2, sniff at the sign.
4. Inside a bubble hovering above another pit. It immediately falls down upon popping the bubble, so you need to be quick.
5. Carried by a Fly Guy after the big wall.
6. In the second area, sniff where Poochy stands.
7. Along the path of the first Rail Lift.
8. Circled by a Bounce Ball at the bottom area.
9. Hanging at a rope on the way of the second Rail Lift.
10. Right next to #9, hanging at another rope.
11. At the beginning of the third area you'll find another Special Delivery mission. The path is very straight and has no obstacles which makes for a very easy task. At the end you'll get seven melons for your effort.

29. Near melon #19, there is a second Question Bubble, shoot it to uncover a switch. Step on it to trigger a time-based puzzle, quickly run across the clouds and jump onto the Rail Lift, go up and step on the switch. Run forward, shoot the Switch Card and hop onto the Rail Lift. On your way there is another Switch Card for you to shoot. Near the end you'll find a third Switch Card. If you were quick enough, you should find two melons at the end on top of the red pipe.

Hearts

1. Pop the Question Bubble after melon #4 to uncover a switch. Step on it and quickly get up the Surprise Balls. If you're quick enough, you'll end up at a bunch of clouds where you can collect the heart.
2. At the beginning of the fourth area, inside a Question Bubble, circled by a Bounce Ball.
3. At the end of the first large pit area, hovering in mid-air. Jump from the Rail Lift to get to it (or shoot it with an egg).
