Castlevania: Circle of the Moon (simply called Castlevania in Europe and Australia, and often abbreviated as CotM) was the first Castlevania game released by Konami for the Game Boy Advance. It followed in the new style of Castlevania games (called "Metroidvanias" due to thier heavily influence by the series) that started with Symphony of the Night.
Unlike other Castlevania games, the main protagonist is not one from the Belmont clan, but Nathan Graves, descended from another vampire hunting clan and is an apprentice of Morris Baldwin, a veteran Vampire Hunter who helped defeat Dracula ten years ago. Now he, Nathan, Hugh Baldwin (Morris's son and another apprentence) storm Dracula's old castle to stop one of Dracula's servant from resurrecting the Count.
CotM has been removed from the official Castlevania timeline and therefore is non-cannon.
