After Burner (アフターバーナー Afutā Bānā?) is a 1987 shooter game by Sega AM2 that debuted in the arcades. It is one of the first games designed by Yu Suzuki. The player flies an F-14 using a specialized joystick (with moving seat, in some installations), and the game spawned several sequels and ports to home consoles. The Sega 32X port, released in 1995, was called After Burner Complete in Japan and Europe. An unlicensed port to the NES was done by Tengen.

The game was also ported to: Amiga, DOS, Amstrad CPC, Atari ST, Sharp X68000, FM Towns, Commodore 64, Sega Master System, PC Engine, Sega Saturn, Windows, MSX, and ZX Spectrum. It appeared in the Sega Arcade Gallery compilation for the Game Boy Advance in 2003.
