Once Beraboh Man has made it back to dry land, the background has reappeared behind him and his energy bar at the bottom of the screen has refilled, a Popo will come slithering towards you, a Karasu Tengu will appear in the air and a Dango will appear on top of the small statue of Buddha in front of you. Crouch down and give the Popo a headbutt to kill it, then jump up and give the Karasu Tengu a kick to kill him - but you should wait until the Dango has curled up into a ball and started bouncing towards you before you crouch down again and give it a headbutt to kill it. Once you have stood up again and collected the Fuku they have left behind, jump over the statue and continue to the right. Two Purple Ninjas will now come hopping towards you on their pogo sticks, and there are also three more Dango preparing to curl up into a ball atop of five tree trunks of various sizes; crouch down and give each of the Purple Ninjas a headbutt to kill them, then wait until the Dango have curled up into a ball and started bouncing towards you before you give each of them a headbutt to kill them. Once you have collected the Fuku they have left behind, jump onto each of the first three tree trunks in turn. Once you have jumped onto the fourth tree trunk, a Kago will drop down from the sky and start creeping towards you - punch her twice to defeat her and collect the Fuku she has left behind before you jump onto the fifth tree trunk. Once you have dropped down to the ground, you will have to fight Waya Hime for a second time; if you remember your first encounter with this red-haired female ninja on the twelfth stage, you can jump up and kick her four times as she is dropping down from the sky in order to kill her before she even manages to do anything. Once you have collected the Fuku she has left behind, another Purple Ninja will come bouncing towards you and another Popo will come slithering towards you just before the stage's dojo - crouch down and give each of them a headbutt to kill him before standing up again and collecting the Fuku they have left behind. Once you have entered the dojo, you will see another Karasu Tengu hovering through the air; jump up and give him a kick to kill him before collecting the Fuku he has left behind. Three more Kago will also be creeping towards you at this point - punch each of them twice to defeat them before you fall through an invisible hole in the floor and land in a cavern beneath the dojo. Once you have done so, you will have to fight your sixth Goaan; this one does not have any Tekyuu moving up and down in a fixed position on either side of him, but the low ceiling of the cavern will make it somewhat harder to jump over him as he is pushing his way towards you. Once you have punched him in the back six times to kill him and collected the Fuku he has left behind, three more Popo will come slithering towards you - crouch down and give each of them a headbutt to kill them before standing up again, collecting the Fuku they have left behind and continuing to the right until you come to a stone staircase leading upwards with two Green Ninjas making their way towards you down it. Kick each of them twice to kill them before jumping up to the top of the staircase and collecting the Fuku they have left behind. You will now have to jump up and drop down to several stone platforms in turn in order to find the way out of the cavern, watching out for sets of receding spikes as you go. Once you have found a second stone staircase that leads out of the cavern, you will see two more Green Ninjas making their way towards you down it; kick each of them twice to kill them before jumping up to the top of the staircase and collecting the Fuku they have left behind. Continue to the right until you come to a stone platform with three Tekyuu moving up and down in a fixed position over it - once you have jumped onto it, three more Green Ninjas will start making their way towards you and a sixth Popo will come slithering towards you. Punch each of the Green Ninjas twice to kill them, then crouch down and give the Popo a headbutt to kill it before standing up again and collecting the Fuku they have left behind. A third Karasu Tengu will also be hovering through the air at this point; once you have jumped up, given him a kick to kill him and collected the Fuku he has left behind, Pistol Daimyo will reappear behind the third Tekyuu and set up another invisible wall in front of him which will not go away until he has been defeated. If you remember your first encounter with this gun-toting feudal lord on the eighth stage, Beraboh Man's torso cannot penetrate the invisible wall - but his bionic limbs can, so you will have to crouch down beneath the Tekyuu in order to headbutt Pistol Daimyo when he hovers down to your level. Once he has been defeated for a second time, the invisible wall will disappear and a seventh Popo will come slithering towards you; give it a headbutt to kill it and collect the Fuku it has left behind before standing up again, dropping down to the ground and continuing to the right until you meet up with Fukubiki Man - who will, as always, greet Beraboh Man and give him one Onigiri energy bonus for every ten Fuku he has collected during the stage. Once he has cycled away, Beraboh Man will proceed to the twenty-third stage - which is the third of the "immediate boss fight" variety and takes place in total blackness.
Once Beraboh Man has made it back to dryland, the background has reappeared behind him and his energy bar at the bottom of the screen has refilled a Popo will come slithering towards him, a Karasu Tengu will appear in the air and start flying towards him, and a Yogandohito will appear on top of that small statue of Buddha in front of him; once you've crouched down and headbutted that Popo to kill it, you'll have to jump up and kick the Karasu Tengu to kill him, then wait until the Yogandohito has curled up into a ball and started bouncing towards you before crouching down again and headbutting it to kill it. Once you've stood up again and collected the Fuku they've left behind, you will have to jump over that statue as two Purple Ninjas come bouncing towards you on their pogo sticks - and once you've crouched down and headbutted both of them to kill them, you will have to stand up again and collect the Fuku they have left behind as you come to three more Yogandohito that are preparing to curl up into balls on top three of five tree trunks; again, you should wait until they have curled up into balls and started bouncing towards you before crouching down and giving each of them a headbutt to kill them. Once you've stood up again, then collected the Fuku they've left behind, you will have to jump onto each of the first four tree trunks in turn as a Komuso drops down from the sky - and once you have punched her twice to defeat her and collected the Fuku she has left behind you will have to jump onto the fifth tree trunk as Waya Hime drops down from the sky for a second time. If you remember your first encounter with this red-haired ninja princess on the twelfth stage, you can jump up and kick her four times as she is dropping down from the sky (again, a hit is registered by her flinching), to kill her before she even manages to do anything; once you've collected the Fuku she has left behind a third Purple Ninja will come bouncing towards you and another Popo will come slithering towards you. Once you've crouched down and headbutted both of these, to kill them, you'll have to stand up again and collect the Fuku they have left behind - and another Karasu Tengu will then come flying towards you. Once you have jumped up and kicked him to kill him, you will have to collect the Fuku he has left behind, as three more Komuso come creeping towards you; once you've punched each of these twice, to defeat them, you will have to fall through an invisible hole in the ground and land in the cavern underneath the dojo. You will now have to fight the game's sixth Raigan who will speak the Katakana/Hiragana text Dosu koi! Gottsu andesu. (ドスコイ! ごっつあんです.) to Beraboh Man once he has seen him - and this one does not have any Tekyuu moving up and down in a fixed position on either side of him, but the low ceiling of the cavern makes it somewhat harder to jump over him as he is pushing his way towards you. Once you have punched him in the back six times to kill him, then collected the Fuku he has left behind, three more Popo will come slithering towards you - and once you've crouched down, then headbutted each of these to kill them, you will have to stand up again and collect the Fuku they have left behind before come to a stone staircase leading upwards with two Green Ninjas walking towards you down it; once you've kicked both of them twice to kill them, you will have to jump up to the top of the staircase and collect the Fuku they have left behind before jumping up and dropping down to several stone platforms in turn to try and find a way out of the cavern, watching out for several sets of receding "Takeken" spikes as you go. Once you have found another stone staircase leading upwards out of the cavern, two more Green Ninjas will come walking towards you down it - and once you have kicked both of them twice to kill them, you will have to jump up to the top of the staircase, and collect the Fuku they have left behind. You'll now come to a stone platform with three Tekyuu moving up and down in a fixed position over it - and once you have jumped onto it, three more Green Ninjas will start walking towards you and a sixth Popo will come slithering towards you. Once you have punched each of those Green Ninjas twice to kill them, you will have to crouch down and headbutt the Popo to kill it before standing up again and collecting the Fuku they have left behind; a third Karasu Tengu will then come flying towards you. Once you have jumped up, kicked him to kill him, and collected the Fuku he has left behind, Pistol Daimyo will reappear behind the third Tekyuu, set up another invisible wall in front of him which will disappear until he has been defeated, and speak the Hiragana text of Watashi ha, Pisutoru Daimyō. (わたしは、ぴすとるだいみょう.) to Beraboh Man - and if you remember that first encounter with this gun-toting feudal lord on the eighth stage, Beraboh Man's torso cannot penetrate the invisible wall, but his bionic limbs can, so you will have to crouch down beneath the Tekyuu, in order to headbutt Pistol Daimyo when he hovers down to your level. Once you have headbutted him five times, he will fall to the ground and speak Hiragana text Washi ga warukatta yurushite kuri! (わしがわるかったゆるしてくり!) to Beraboh Man, before firing a missile at him and getting back up again; once you've headbutted him thrice more, he'll fall to the ground again and speak the Hiragana text Kondo koso hontō ni ayamaru! (こんどこそほんとうにあやまる!) to Beraboh Man before firing another missile at him and getting back up again. Once you've headbutted him three final times, he'll fall to the ground once again and speak the Hiragana text Tsugi ha, kaishin shiyō to omotte itanoni... (つぎは、かいしんしようとおもっていたのに...) to Beraboh Man before firing another missile at him and sinking into the ground - and the invisible wall will disappear as a seventh Popo comes slithering towards you. Once you have crouched down and headbutted this final Popo to kill it, you'll have to stand up again and collect the Fuku it's left behind before dropping down to the ground; the song you were hearing from the Yamaha YM-2151 will fade out and Fukubiki Man will speak the Katakana/Hiragana text Biba!! Berabōman. Onigiri, ku wan kai. (ビバ!! ベラボーマン. おにぎり、くわんかい) to Beraboh Man before giving him one Onigiri energy bonus for every ten Fuku he has collected during the stage. Once he's cycled away, the "stage clear" theme will be heard from the Yamaha YM-2151 for the twenty-second time, and Beraboh Man will proceed to the twenty-third stage - which is the third that is of the "immediate boss fight" variety.
