All four types of bonus characters are present on this final scene: Blue Ghosts (BT BlueGhost.png, 2 points), Yellow Ghosts (BT YellowGhost.png, 3 points), Green Ghosts (BT GreenGhost.png, 4 points) and Red Ghosts (BT RedGhost.png, 5 points), and a total of 350 points are needed to finish the game; however, you will only see the secret ending if you kill every enemy that emerges from Boss Water Ghost (the scene's boss character) after you've shot him enough times to defeat him and he has exploded.

Once the diorama has lit up (for the final time), a Mr. Jow, an Unagi, a Piranha and a Tuna shall appear at all four cardinal directions in the centre of the screen as they make their way towards the sunken ship; once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them the sunken ship will move slightly to the left and the trapdoor on top of it shall open as twelve more Unagi, six more Tuna and six more Piranhas emerge from them and make their way towards the bottom of the screen. Once you have fired a shot at each of these to kill them, the sunken ship shall move slightly to the left and the trapdoor on top of it shall open, as twelve more Unagi, six more Tuna and six more Piranhas emerge from them and make their way towards the bottom of the screen - and once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them, a large whirlpool shall appear in the middle of the sunken ship as a final assault of two Blue Ghosts, six more Unagi, ten more Piranhas, eight more Mr. Jows, eight more Tuna, three Green Ghosts, two Yellow Ghosts and two Red Ghosts come along and combine themselves with it to become Boss Water Ghost (the scene's boss character). Once you've fired enough shots at him to defeat him, he'll explode, as all the previously mentioned enemies (which can be killed for extra points) emerge from him; if you scored 350 or more points, the text "FINAL SCENE CLEAR - CONGRATULATIONS!" shall appear on the screen as the diorama turns off its lights for a fifth time. The scoreboard will then appear as the "ZIP" (or "ZAP") box is lifted above the "GHOST" one and the text "ZIP/ZAP WON!" appears on the screen - however, if you only scored less than 350 points, the text "FINAL SCENE OVER" shall appear on the screen, and the "ZIP" box on the scoreboard will be dropped to the bottom of the screen as the text "GHOSTS WON!" appears on it and the game ends (and in such a case you will have to insert another coin into the cabinet and start over from the beginning for as many attempts as it may take you to clear this scene with a score of 350 or more points). Once you've cleared this scene with a score of 350 or more points, you'll be treated to the game's ending sequence, which shows four Ghosts (one of each colour) fleeing from the Southern Island seen in its attract mode as they cry and fly away off the top of the screen; the text "THE END" will now appear on the screen. The game shall then go into high-score mode - and your scores will most likely be the two highest ones on the cabinet to date, so you'll have to enter your initials at the top of the table with pride regardless of which way around they are positioned. Once you do so, the game will go back into attract mode, but as mentioned above, if you kill every enemy that emerges from Boss Water Ghost after he explodes, you'll get to see its secret ending sequence.
