During art classes, you've got to play one of the most complex minigames, which involves moving your paintbrush around the canvas to uncover areas of the picture, like the arcade game Qix.

Varying numbers of different "enemy" elements also move around the canvas, and can destroy your brush if they come into contact with it. Some can cause you to lose if they hit the line following your brush. You can destroy the enemy tools by catching them in a completed area.

There are also powerups available; if you catch them in a cleared area or hit them with your brush, you can speed up your brush or slow down or even stop time.

You have to uncover 80% of the canvas to pass the class, after which the entire painting is revealed. You fail if your brush is destroyed three times.

Enemy elements

  • Eraser (green): The green eraser moves around the uncleared area, bouncing off the boundary lines of the cleared parts of the canvas. If the eraser comes into contact with the line you're drawing or your paintbrush, you'll lose a life.
  • Eraser (pink): The red eraser moves around the uncleared area faster than the green, bouncing off the boundary lines of the cleared parts of the canvas. If the eraser comes into contact with the line you're drawing or your paintbrush, you'll lose a life.
  • Scissors (red and yellow): The scissors follow the lines around the boundary of the canvas or the borders of completed areas of the canvas, but not the line you are currently drawing. If the scissors hit your brush, you'll lose a life.
  • Exploder (red with lines through it): If the eraser comes into contact with another one of the enemies as it is sitting in the middle of the uncleared area it explodes. If one of the fragments comes into contact with your brush, you'll lose a life.
