This is the default configuration for the GameCube. You can also choose one other control scheme when you go through the options menu.

  • Start button: Start/Pause game
  • Neutral control: Steering the car
  • Neutral dpad: Cycle views (up/down)
  • Neutral cstick: Accelerate/Brake (up/down)
  • A button: Accelerate
  • B button: Brake
  • Y button: Gear shift up
  • X button: Gear shift down
  • Z button: Look back
  • L button: Horn
  • R button: "Boost" or Turbo
