Lesson 1: "TURN AND TRY"[edit]

EXPLANATION FOR GAMEPLAY #1:
BY TURNING THE MAZE ROUND,
ROLL THE BALL TO YOUR GOAL.

COME NOW, DO YOUR BEST.

Best lap: 0'60"0

Welcome to the Training Course. Once the maze and ball have appeared on the screen (and the starting light has changed, from red to yellow to green), the ball will fall down to the first wall of the maze and the timer will start counting down; you'll now have to rotate the maze 90 degrees clockwise to make the ball fall down to the second wall, rotate it 90 more degrees clockwise (to make it fall down to the third wall), rotate it back 90 degrees anticlockwise to make it fall down onto the fourth wall, rotate it back 90 degrees clockwise (to make it fall down to the fifth wall), rotate it back 90 degrees anticlockwise to make it fall down onto the sixth wall, rotate it back 90 more degrees anticlockwise, to make it fall down onto the seventh wall, and finally rotate it back 90 degrees clockwise, to make it fall down onto the goal point. Once you have done so, the text "LESSON 1 COMPLETE!" will appear on the screen as the camera zooms in on the maze while rotating in an anticlockwise direction until it has disappeared - and the text "LAP TIME" will now be displayed on the screen with the text "X'XX"XX" (and "A NEW RECORD", given that the first best lap time is more than the starting time, so you will have no choice but to usurp it, and because Taito's F2 games do not use NVRAM, it will be reset when the cabinet is turned off) next to it. Below that, the text "TIME BONUS" will be displayed, with the text "XX.X SEC X 100 = XXX0 POINTS" (XX.X and XXX0 being your remaining time and resulting bonus respectively) next to it as you receive a bonus of your remaining time multiplied by 100; below that, the text "TIME EXTEND +20 SEC." shall get displayed as your remaining time is extended by twenty seconds. The text "GO TO NEXT LESSON!" shall then appear at the bottom of the screen and you will proceed to Lesson 2.

Lesson 2: "JUNGLE CLUB"[edit]

EXPLANATION FOR GAMEPLAY #2:
ATTENTION: GAME ENDS
WHEN THE TIMER REACHES "0".

THE TIME BEING LEFT WHEN THE
ROUND IS CLEARD WILL BE ADDED
TO NEXT ROUND.

LEAVE THE TIME AS MUCH
AS POSSIBLE.

Best lap: 0'60"0

Once the maze and ball have appeared on the screen and the starting light has changed from red to yellow to green, the ball shall fall down onto the first wall of the maze and the timer will start counting down again; you'll then have to rotate the maze 180 degrees clockwise to make the ball fall down to the second wall, rotate it 90 more degrees clockwise (to make it fall down to the third wall), rotate it back 90 degrees anticlockwise to make it fall down to the fourth wall, rotate it back 90 more degrees anticlockwise, to make it fall down to the fifth wall, rotate it back 90 more degrees anticlockwise, to make it fall down to the sixth wall, rotate it back 90 degrees clockwise to make it fall down to the seventh wall (which, because it is slanted, it will roll down of its own accord), rotate it back 90 degrees anticlockwise to make it fall down to the eighth wall (which, because it is again slanted, it will again roll down of its own accord), rotate it back 90 degrees clockwise to make it fall down to the ninth wall (which, because it's once again slanted, it will once again roll down it of its own accord to fall down to the tenth wall, and because the tenth wall is yet again slanted, it shall yet again roll down it of its own accord, and fall down to the eleventh wall), rotate it back 90 more degrees clockwise, to make it fall down to the twelfth wall, rotate it back 90 degrees anticlockwise, to make it fall to the thirteenth wall, rotate it back 90 degrees clockwise to make it fall to the fourteenth wall, rotate it back 90 degrees anticlockwise to make it fall to the fifteenth wall, rotate it back 90 degrees clockwise to make it fall down onto the sixteenth wall, rotate it back 90 more degrees clockwise to make it fall to the seventeenth wall, rotate it back 90 more degrees clockwise to make it fall down to the eighteenth wall, rotate it back 90 more degrees clockwise to make it fall down to the nineteenth wall, and rotate it back 90 degrees anticlockwise to make it fall down onto the goal point. Once you have done so, the text "LESSON 2 COMPLETE!" shall appear on the screen as the camera zooms in on the maze while rotating anticlockwise until it disappears - and the text "LAP TIME" will then be displayed on the screen with the text "X'XX"XX" (and if you usurped the best lap time, "A NEW RECORD") next to it. Below that, the text "TIME BONUS" will be displayed, with the text "XX.X SEC X 200 = XXX0 POINTS" (XX.X and XXX0, again, being your remaining time and resulting bonus respectively) next to it, as you receive a bonus of your remaining time multiplied by 200; below that, the text "TIME EXTEND +20 SEC." will be displayed as your remaining time is again extended by 20 seconds. The text "GO TO NEXT LESSON!" now appears at the bottom of the screen.

Lesson 3: "ANGEL STEPS"[edit]

EXPLANATION FOR GAMEPLAY #3:
WHEN THE BALL TOUCHES
"TIMER DOWN", 2 SECONDS
ARE DECREASED FROM THE
TIMER.

TOUCHING "RED TIMER DOWN"
DECREASES WHY! -5 SECONDS.

NEVER TOUCH IT.

Best lap: 0'50"0

Once the maze and ball have appeared on the screen and the starting light has changed from red to yellow to green, the ball shall fall down onto the first wall of the maze, and the timer will start counting down again; you then have to rotate the maze 90 degrees clockwise to make the ball fall down onto the second wall, rotate it a few more degrees clockwise to make it fall down onto the third wall (while watching out for a "Timer Down" wall tile), rotate it back 90 degrees anticlockwise to make it fall down onto the fourth wall (while watching out for another "Timer Down" wall tile!), rotate it back 90 more degrees anticlockwise to make it fall down onto the fifth wall (while watching out for a third "Timer Down" wall tile!), rotate it back 90 degrees clockwise to make it fall down onto the sixth wall (while watching out for a fourth "Timer Down" wall tile!), rotate it back 90 degrees anticlockwise to make it fall down onto the seventh wall, rotate it back 90 degrees clockwise to make it fall down onto the eighth wall (while now watching out for a "Red Timer Down" wall tile, and because it is slanted, it will roll down it of its own accord to the ninth wall, from where you will have to rotate it 90 more degrees clockwise to make it fall down to the tenth wall while watching out for a fifth "Timer Down" wall tile), rotate it a few more degrees clockwise (while watching out for a sixth "Timer Down" wall tile!), to make it fall down to the eleventh wall, rotate it back 90 degrees anticlockwise to make it fall down to the twelfth wall (while watching out for another "Red Timer Down" wall tile!), rotate it back 90 degrees clockwise to make it fall down onto the thirteenth wall (while watching out for two more "Timer Down" wall tiles), rotate it back 90 more degrees clockwise to make it fall down onto the fourteenth wall (which, because it's slanted, it will again roll down it of its own accord to fall down to the fifteenth wall), rotate it back 90 degrees anticlockwise to make it fall down onto the sixteenth wall (while watching out for ninth "Timer Down" wall tile), rotate it back a few more degrees anticlockwise to make it fall down to the seventeenth wall, while watching for two more "Timer Down" wall tiles, rotate it back 90 more degrees anticlockwise to make it fall down to the eighteenth wall (while watching out for twelfth "Timer Down" wall tile), rotate it back 90 degrees clockwise to make it fall down onto the nineteenth wall, and rotate it back 180 degrees anticlockwise to make it fall down onto the goal point. Once you have done this, the text of "LESSON 3 COMPLETE!" will appear on the screen as the camera zooms in on the maze while rotating anticlockwise until it has disappeared - and the text "LAP TIME" will then be displayed on the screen with the text "X'XX"XX" (and again, if you usurped the best lap time, "A NEW RECORD") next to it. Below it, the text "TIME BONUS" will be displayed, with the text of "XX.X SEC X 300 = XXX0 POINTS" (XX.X and XXX0, once again, being your remaining time and resulting bonus respectively) next to it as you receive a bonus of your remaining time multiplied by 300; below that, the text "TIME EXTEND +30 SEC." will be displayed as your remaining time gets extended by thirty seconds. The text "GO TO NEXT LESSON!" shall now appear at the bottom of the screen, and you shall proceed to Lesson 4.

Lesson 4: "SUPER SONIC BREAK"[edit]

EXPLANATION FOR GAMEPLAY #4:
BRICKS CAN BE DESTROYED
BY HITTING THE BALL
FORCIBLY.

IF BALL SPEED IS SLOW, BRICKS
CANNOT BE DESTROYED.

Best lap: 0'40"0

Once the maze and ball have appeared on the screen and the starting light has changed from red to yellow to green, the ball shall fall down onto the first wall of the maze, and the timer will start counting down again; you'll then have to rotate the maze a few degrees anticlockwise, to make the ball fall down onto the second wall, rotate it back a few degrees clockwise, to make it fall down onto one of a group of six blocks (and destroy it for 1000 extra points!), fall down through the hole, onto one of another group of six more blocks (and destroy it for 1000 more extra points!), and fall down through the hole onto the third wall. Once you've done so, you will have to rotate the maze back 90 degrees anticlockwise, to make the ball fall down onto one of a third group of four more blocks (and destroy it for 1000 more extra points!) and fall down through the hole onto the fourth wall - and you shall now have to rotate the maze rotate the maze back a few degrees clockwise to make the ball fall down onto the fifth wall (which, because it is slanted, it will roll down of its own accord), rotate it back 180 degrees anticlockwise, to make it fall down onto one of a fourth group of two more blocks (and destroy it for 1000 more extra points), and fall down through the hole onto the sixth wall (which, because it is again slanted, it will again roll down it, of its own accord). Once you have done so, you shall have to rotate the maze back 90 degrees clockwise to make the ball fall down onto the seventh wall (which, because it is once again slanted, it'll once again roll down of its own accord!), rotate it 90 more degrees clockwise to make it fall onto one of a fifth group of six more blocks (and destroy it for 1000 more extra points), fall down through the hole onto one of two more single blocks (and destroy it for 1000 more extra points) and fall onto the eighth wall; you shall then have to rotate the maze 90 more degrees clockwise and make the ball fall down onto one of two more single blocks (and destroy them for 1000 more extra points apiece), then fall down onto as many of the next thirty-six blocks arranged in nine more groups of four as possible (destroying them for 1000 more extra points apiece), rotate it 90 more degrees clockwise to make it fall onto the ninth wall (which because it's again slanted it will again roll down it of its own accord, and fall down onto one of a fifteenth group of two more blocks to destroy it for 1000 more extra points), and rotate it back 90 degrees clockwise, to make it fall down onto the goal point. Once you've done so, the text "LESSON 4 COMPLETE!" will appear on the screen, as the camera zooms in on the maze while rotating anticlockwise until it has disappeared - and the text "LAP TIME" will then be displayed on the screen with the text "X'XX"XX" (and once again, if you have usurped the best lap time, "A NEW RECORD") next to it. Below that, the text of "TIME BONUS" shall get displayed, with the text of "XX.X SEC X 400 = XXX0 POINTS" (XX.X and XXX0, yet again, being your remaining time and resulting bonus respectively) next to it, as you receive a bonus of your remaining time multiplied by 400; below that, the text "TIME EXTEND +30 SEC." appears as your remaining time is again extended by 30 seconds. The text "GO TO NEXT LESSON!" shall now appear at the screen's bottom.

Lesson 5: "MOLE DWELLING"[edit]

EXPLANATION FOR GAMEPLAY #5:
WHEN THE BUTTON IS
PRESSED, THE BALL
JUMPS.

WHEN THE BUTTON IS KEPT
PRESSED, THE BALL SPEED
INCREASES.

PAY ATTENTION TO THIS
BECAUSE THE BALL
REBOUND WILL ALSO BE
ENLARGED

Best lap: 0'60"0

Once the maze and ball have appeared on the screen and the starting light has changed from red to yellow to green, the ball shall fall down onto the first wall of the maze, and the timer will start counting down again; you'll then have to rotate the maze 180 degrees clockwise, to make the ball fall down onto the second wall (which, because it's slanted, it will roll down of its own accord), rotate it back 90 degrees anticlockwise to make it fall down onto the third wall (while watching for two "Timer Down" wall tiles), rotate it back 90 degrees clockwise to make it fall down to the fourth wall, rotate it back 90 degrees clockwise to make it fall down onto one of a group of four blocks (and destroy it for 1000 extra points!), and fall down through the hole onto the fifth wall. Once you've done so you shall have to rotate the maze back 90 degrees anticlockwise to make the ball fall down onto the sixth wall (while watching out for a third "Timer Down" wall tile, and because the sixth wall is again slanted, the ball will again roll down it of its own accord to the seventh wall but you have to watch out for a fourth "Timer Down" wall tile!), rotate it back 90 degrees clockwise to make it fall down onto the eighth wall (which, because it is once again slanted, it will once again roll down of its own accord, but you will have to watch out for two more "Timer Down" wall tiles!), rotate it 90 more degrees clockwise to make it fall down onto the ninth wall (which because it is yet again slanted, it will yet again roll down of its own accord but you will have to watch out for two more "Timer Down" wall tiles), rotate it back 90 degrees anticlockwise to make it fall down onto the tenth wall (which because it's for a fifth time slanted, it'll for a fifth time roll down it of its own accord but you will have to watch out for a ninth "Timer Down" wall tile), rotate it back 90 more degrees anticlockwise to make it fall onto the eleventh wall (while watching out for tenth "Timer Down" wall tile, and because the eleventh wall is for a sixth time slanted, it shall for a sixth time roll down it of its own accord), rotate it back 90 degrees clockwise to make it fall down onto the twelfth wall, rotate it back 90 more degrees clockwise (to make it fall onto the thirteenth wall), rotate it back 90 more degrees clockwise to make it fall onto the fourteenth wall (which, because it is for a seventh time slanted, it will for a seventh time roll down it of its own accord but you will have to watch out for an eleventh "Timer Down" wall tile), rotate it back 90 degrees anticlockwise, to make it fall down onto the fifteenth wall, rotate it back 90 more degrees anticlockwise (to make it fall down onto the sixteenth wall), rotate it back 90 degrees clockwise to make it fall down onto the seventeenth wall, rotate it back 90 degrees anticlockwise (to make it fall onto the eighteenth wall), rotate it back a few degrees clockwise to make it fall onto the nineteenth wall, rotate it back 180 more degrees clockwise to make it fall onto the twentieth wall (which because it's for an eighth time slanted, it will for an eighth time roll down it of its own accord, but you will have to watch out for a twelfth "Timer Down" wall tile), rotate it back 90 degrees anticlockwise to make it fall down onto the twenty-first wall, rotate it back 90 more degrees anticlockwise to make it fall onto the twenty-second wall (which because it's for a ninth time slanted, it will for a ninth time roll down it of its own accord), rotate it back 90 degrees clockwise to make it fall onto the twenty-third wall, rotate it back 90 degrees clockwise to make it fall down onto the twenty-fourth wall, rotate it back 90 degrees anticlockwise while watching out for a thirteenth "Timer Down" wall tile to make it fall down onto one of a second group of four more blocks (and destroy it for 1000 more extra points), then fall down through the hole onto the twenty-fifth wall - and you will then have to rotate the maze back 90 degrees clockwise (while watching out for a fourteenth "Timer Down" wall tile), and make the ball fall down onto the twenty-sixth wall, rotate it back 90 more degrees clockwise to make it fall down onto the twenty-seventh wall, rotate it back 90 degrees anticlockwise to make it fall down onto the twenty-eighth wall, and rotate it back 90 degrees clockwise making it fall down onto the goal point. Once you do so, the text "LESSON 5 COMPLETE!" will appear on the screen as the camera zooms in on the maze while rotating anticlockwise until it has disappeared; the text "LAP TIME" will then be displayed on the screen, with the text "X'XX"XX" (and yet again, if you have usurped the best lap time, "A NEW RECORD") next to it. Below that, the text "TIME BONUS" will be displayed, with the text "XX.X SEC X 500 = XXX0 POINTS" (XX.X and XXX0 for a fifth time being your remaining time and resulting bonus respectively) next to it, as you receive a bonus of your remaining time multiplied by 500 - and below that the text "TIME EXTEND +30 SEC." is displayed as the remaining time is once again extended by thirty seconds. The text of "GO TO NEXT LESSON!" shall then appear at the bottom of the screen, followed by the text "FINAL TRIAL".

Lesson 6: "VISIONARY CASTLE"[edit]

Best lap: 0'60"0

Once the maze and ball have appeared on the screen and the starting light has changed from red to yellow to green, the ball will fall down to the third of a group of six blocks (destroying it for 1000 extra points and landing on the first wall of the maze), and the timer shall start counting down again; you will now have to rotate the maze 180 degrees clockwise to make the ball fall down onto the second wall while watching out for eight "Timer Down" wall tiles, and because that second wall is slanted, it shall roll down it of its own accord, rotate it back 90 degrees anticlockwise, to make it fall down onto the third wall (which because it is again slanted, it will again roll down it of its own accord), rotate it back 90 more degrees anticlockwise to make it fall down onto the fourth wall, rotate it back a few more degrees anticlockwise to make it fall down onto the fifth wall (which because it's once again slanted it will once again roll down it of its own accord), rotate it back 180 degrees clockwise to make it fall down onto the sixth wall (which, because it is yet again slanted, it will yet again roll down it of its own accord), rotate it 180 more degrees clockwise to make it fall down onto the seventh wall (which, because it is for a fifth time slanted, it will for a fifth time roll down it of its own accord, but you'll have to watch for a ninth "Timer Down" wall tile), rotate it back 90 degrees anticlockwise, to make it fall to the eighth wall, rotate it back a few degrees clockwise, to make it fall down onto the ninth wall, rotate it back a few more degrees clockwise, to make it fall down to the tenth wall, rotate it back 90 degrees anticlockwise to make it fall down onto one of a second group of two more blocks (and destroy it for 1000 more extra points) and fall down through the hole onto the eleventh wall. Once you have done so, you will have to rotate the maze back 90 degrees clockwise, to make the ball fall onto the twelfth wall, rotate it back 90 more degrees clockwise to make it fall onto one of a third group of four more blocks (and destroy it for 1000 more extra points), and fall through the hole - and you'll then have to rotate the maze back 90 degrees anticlockwise to make the ball fall down onto the thirteenth wall (while watching out for tenth "Timer Down" wall tile), rotate it back 90 more degrees anticlockwise, to make it fall down to the fourteenth wall (while watching out for an eleventh "Timer Down" wall tile!), rotate it back 90 degrees clockwise, to make it fall onto the fifteenth wall, rotate it back 90 more degrees clockwise, to make it fall down onto the sixteenth wall, rotate it back 90 more degrees clockwise to make it fall down to the seventeenth wall (while watching out for a twelfth "Timer Down" wall tile), rotate it back 90 degrees clockwise to make it fall onto the eighteenth wall, rotate it back 90 degrees clockwise to make it fall onto one of a fourth group of four more blocks and destroy it for 1000 more extra points, and fall through the hole onto the nineteenth wall. Once you've done it, you will have to rotate the maze back 90 degrees anticlockwise to make the ball fall to the twentieth wall, rotate it back 90 more degrees anticlockwise to make it fall down onto the twenty-first wall, rotate it back 90 more degrees anticlockwise to make it fall onto the twenty-second wall, rotate it back 90 more degrees anticlockwise to make it drop onto the twenty-third wall, rotate it back 90 more degrees anticlockwise to make it fall onto the twenty-fourth wall, rotate it back 90 more degrees anticlockwise to make it fall onto the twenty-fifth wall, rotate it back 90 more degrees anticlockwise to make it fall down onto the twenty-sixth wall, and rotate it back 180 more degrees anticlockwise to make it fall down onto the goal point; once you have done so the text "LESSON 6 COMPLETE!" will appear on the screen, as the camera zooms in on the maze while rotating anticlockwise until it disappears. The text "LAP TIME" will then appear with "X'XX"XX" (and for a fifth and final time, if you've usurped the best lap time, "A NEW RECORD") next to it. Below that, the text "TIME BONUS" will be displayed with the text "XX.X SEC X 600 = XXX0 POINTS" (XX.X and XXX0, for a sixth and final time, being your remaining time and resulting bonus respectively) next to it as you receive a bonus of your remaining time multiplied by 600 - and the text "Congratulations!" will zoom out while rotating in clockwise direction and the text "SCORE: XXXX0" (XXXX0 being your final score) and "TOTAL TIME: X MIN XX.X SEC (X and XX.X being your total game time) appears below it. The text "THE TRAINING COURSE IS FINISHED. CHALLENGE THE UPPER GRADE COURSE." then gets displayed with a picture of the ball on a cliff at sunset and the text "START ON A NEW ADVENTURE!" below it; the text "GAME OVER" will then appear as the camera zooms in on it while rotating in a clockwise direction and the game will go back into attract mode (however, this course does not have a high-score table, so you won't be able to enter your initials). You will now have to move on to the Beginner Course - which is also comprised of six rounds.
