Carrier Command 2 is a sequel to the 1988 video game Carrier Command. Carrier Command 2, like its predecessor, is a hybrid of vehicle simulation and real time tactics. Players must operate interfaces from the bridge of their amphibious assault ship to deploy air and amphibious assets to capture islands and defeat the enemy carrier.
Template:Continue Nav The game consists of both co-op and competitive multiplayer, with an option to play single player as well. A campaign takes the player and other friends on a relatively short and straightforward journey across the ocean, capturing islands.
While a single carrier can be crewed by a single person, the game truly comes into its own in multiplayer. The game's multiplayer can feature up to sixteen players on a single server - divided up into four teams - fighting for dominance of a 64 island archipelago chain. It is also possible to fight up to four AI carriers attempting to do the same thing.
For a highlight on what the carrier is capable of and its general stations, see the Gameplay section.
