Vampire Killer (バンパイアキラー is just a reading help for Japanese players) was originally developed and released in Japan by Konami in 1994, and then localized in North America as Castlevania: Bloodlines and in Europe as Castlevania: The New Generation. It was the only Castlevania game for the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive.

Story

Taking place in 1917, it stars John Morris in a quest across Europe to defeat Elizabeth Bartley, niece of Count Dracula.

John is the son of Quincey Morris, a character in the original novel Dracula by Bram Stoker.

Bloodlines ties directly into Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin, which stars John's son.
