EA Los Angeles started in 1995 as DreamWorks Interactive, a subsidiary of DreamWorks SKG. Also known as EALA, it is a video game developer. In 2000, Electronic Arts acquired DreamWorks Interactive from the film studio, where it became EA Los Angeles. In 2003, it was merged with Westwood Studios, the original creators of the Command & Conquer Series, and Westwood Pacific.
