Embracer Group is a holding company formed when the THQ Nordic holding company renamed in 2019.
In February 2024, they sold Saber Interactive to Beacon Interactive.
In April 2024, they announced they would split into 3 companies:
- Asmodee Group - publisher of board and card games
- Coffee Stain & Friends - indie game publishers and studios
- Middle-earth Enterprises & Friends - triple-A game development and publishing
Middle-earth Enterprises & Friends is the legal successor to Embracer Group.
