In 1982 and 1983 20th Century Fox released a number of video games based on their film and TV properties for the Atari 2600 under the Fox Video Games label. When the home console industry crashed, they closed the studio. 20th Century Fox outsourced most of their video games in the NES era before reopening a studio in the mid-1990s.
