Karateco (カラテコ, lit. Karateko), was an arcade game manufacturer, based in Minato-ku, Tokyo; despite their location, they seemed to focus on games for the European market, including: a French billiards game named Billiard Americain, Gin Rummy, Hopper (a bootleg of Konami's Frogger), May Day (a bootleg of Williams' Defender), and Taskete (Sega and Sanritsu also licensed Borderline and Van-Van Car to them for EU manufacture and distribution).
