Formed in 1996 as Sega's second consumer R&D department, AM7 was best known for its work on the Shinobi series, Streets of Rage and the Sakura Wars games.
Renamed Overworks in 2000, they created Eternal Arcadia for the Dreamcast, porting it to the Nintendo GameCube in 2003.
In late 2003, Overworks was merged with Wow Entertainment (formerly AM1) as Sega WOW Inc.
