Wanako Studios is a game development studio wholly owned by Sierra Entertainment that currently develops downloadable games for Microsoft Windows and the Xbox 360's Xbox Live Arcade. In the past, they have created several popular games for Wild Tangent including Jewel Thief and Blackhawk Striker 2, and have also worked with THQ and Ford Motor Company.

The company was founded in 2002 by Esteban Sosnik, Tiburcio de la Carcova, and Wenceslao Casares. It had headquarters in New York City with a primary site in Santiago, Chile. With a stated goal to leverage Latin American software talent, they are the largest game development studio in Latin America. According to their own press information, they rely heavily on agile software development methods such as SCRUM.

On February 20, 2007, the studio announced that it had been purchased by Vivendi Universal's Sierra Entertainment. In the same week, Xbox Live Arcade portfolio manager Ross Erickson left Microsoft to join sister-organization Sierra Online.

On November 20, 2008, Wanako Studios was acquired by Artificial Mind and Movement, Canada's largest independent game developer.
