Working Designs was a publisher specializing in localization and US publishing of Japanese console titles, especially RPGs, strategy titles, and top-down shooters. Though the company had many fan favorites, they are probably best known as being the publisher of the Lunar series.

The company was also known for having long delays on some of their titles, and using sometimes-expensive packaging to make their games stand out or mark them as collector's items. They were also attempting to give their fans something more of the experience the Japanese audience has when buying some of these games, as their packaging often mimicked Japanese releases. Many of their titles were released in very limited numbers, and can be very hard to find today.
