Ys is a series of action RPGs that were developed by Nihon Falcom. With the exception of Ys Origin, each game in the main series chronicles the adventures of Adol Christin. The series has evolved over the years and features different battles systems. The early games used a bump system where Adol needs to be moved into an enemy to attack them. Later games used a more traditional action system where pressing a button causes Adol to attack. The most recent games added a party system.
