Chicken Shift title screen.png

To be a successful Chicken Shift player, you must devote your concentration to saving the little Chickens. The game is played by pressing two buttons, blue and red, which toggle the direction of pipes, platforms or catapults in those two colours. The colours are used to guide eggs into a carton, baby chicks to a field, and finally toss growing chicks to their nest.

The first round of the game is the easiest, but it gradually becomes more difficult. You start with three lives with three mistakes each; if you do not make any mistakes, you will receive a "Perfect Round Bonus" of 1000 points. Each new round will also return the number of mistakes for your current life back to three. The fifth and sixth rounds are identical to the second and third ones. After the eighth round, the third, seventh and eighth ones will repeat in an infinite loop until you run out of lives, at which point the text "BYE" will appear, and the game will go into high-score mode.

To enter your initials on the high-score table, you must use both Start Buttons to select the letters, and press the Red Button to confirm them (pressing the Blue Button at this point has no effect). Once you have done so, the game returns to attract mode.
