Description

This route can be hard to cross without the assistance of an item such as the Jet Pack or Power Boots. Assuming you entered from the right, you'll notice humanoid enemies with guns, and two flame jets that rise into the air. Clear the humanoids so that they stop shooting at you, then carefully remove or jump over the flame jets. As you jump from each ledge to the next, make sure you are close enough to the next ledge to make the jump, or you will fall down into the cavern below. If you do, you must head left or right to escape and then attempt to cross the route again.

Assuming you make it all the way over to the left, stand on the lower platform and press + to drop down to the screen below. Crouch down on the lower of the two platforms where you arrive, and remove to two floating enemies to the left. Then drop to the next platform and shoot the flame jet twice to remove it. For the next jump, it is possible to make it without equipping any items but your timing has to be perfect. If you don't want to risk falling, use a Jet Pack to be safe. Once you make it over to the ledge, you only have to watch out for small bouncing enemies. You can safely fall down to the screen below when you are on the left side of the screen. From there, watch out for one floating enemy and a gun toting humanoid, and head to the left exit.
