Combat takes place on three planes that characters can switch between similar to Guardian Heroes. Animated cutscenes were provided by the studio, BONES. Code of Princess was ported to Windows and added Steam achievements, but the English dubbing was removed. It was later ported to the Nintendo Switch as Code of Princess EX. It featured new HD graphics, updated AI, and balancing.
