"Protect the Chronosphere research center"
Briefing: "Out latest technology, the Chronosphere, is housed in this research station. The timer represents the appointed time for the completion of a vital experiment. The Soviets have learned of this and are moving in. Protect the Chronosphere and the Advanced-Tech research center. Make sure the base is fully powered at the appointed time. If not, all will be lost!"
For Mission 8, in which you need to protect Secret Research Facility outside Liech you have two different choices which route you can take. They have same objective but the map layout is different. You'll get this map from choosing the left arrow. In this one you can attack the Soviet base right away with your starting units. Their base is not very well defended at the beginning.
Walkthrough: You need to get your starting units to your base. Of course you'll encounter some resistance. In this variant of Mission 8 it's possible to destroy the Soviet base in the NW with your starting units. It is defended only with one Tesla Coil and two Flame Towers. This base only came alive until you deploy your MCV. So act accordingly. From this point on it's just about of defending incoming waves of Soviet attacks. You can put your Mine Layers to work and land mines on the landing spots and driveways. Just remember, in addition to protecting your Chronosphere and Tech Center, you also need to be at full power when the timer ends, so build some Power Plants when needed.
