Here are the equipment types in Diablo. The item value is shown by the color of its name:

Normal (White Text)

  • Properties: None.
  • Rarity: Very common.

Magical (Blue Text)

  • Properties: May contain up to two magical properties.
  • Rarity: Not common.

Unique (Gold Text)

  • Properties: No magical property limit.
  • Rarity: Very rare!

The equipment in Diablo are divided into seven types: Swords, Bats, Axes, Staves, Bows, Armour and other.

Swords

Bats

Not a great variety and they are not that strong as well. Both one-handed and two-handed.

Axes

The strongest warrior weapon. They are only two-handed and are very destructable.

Staves

They are not made for melee-fighting and are specially for sorcerers. They are only two-handed.

Bows

Long-range weapons made specially for rogues. They are only two-handed and don't need ammo to use (since Diablo doesn't have an ammo system).

Armour

There is a great amount of items on this division, split into helms, shields and armour. They can change your character's appearance depending on the armour's level.

  • Level 1: Leather
  • Level 2: Chain and ringed
  • Level 3: Plate, mail and other heavy armour

Other

These are unworn items like potions, spellbooks, scrolls, etc.
