Luna is a ranged agility hero who is usually played as a hard carry. She can deal damage among multiple enemies with her Moon Glaives, while having greater night vision with her Lunar Blessing. Her Lucent Beam is her staple damaging ability that can be used to disrupt channeling abilities, and she can summon tons of them with her Eclipse ultimate.

Abilities[edit]

Lucent Beam[edit]

  • Ability: Target Unit
  • Affects: Enemy Heroes
  • Damage Type: Magical
  • Damage: 75 / 150 / 225 / 300
  • Stun Duration: 0.6
  • Mana Cost: 90 / 100 / 110 / 120
  • Cooldown: 6

Lucent Beam makes a beam of moonlight stike the target, dealing damage as well as mini-stunning. A good single target ability that does decent damage. Its mini-stun will be valuable for stopping channeling spells and teleports. With a mere cooldown of 6 seconds, it can be quite spammable, but you don't really have a large mana pool without items. It should also be noted that the level of your Lucent Beams with directly influence how powerful your ultimate is.

Moon Glaive[edit]

  • Ability: Passive
  • Radius: 500
  • Bounces: 1 / 2 / 3 / 5
  • Damage Reduction: 35%

Moon Glaive makes your normal attacks bounce between enemy units nearby the unit you're attacking. Each bounce deals less damage. A great pushing and mid to late game farming tool, you can easily clear creep waves and jungle camps with it. It also works on buildings, so you can be attacking a tower while still damaging incoming enemies.

Lunar Blessing[edit]

  • Ability: Passive
  • Radius: 900
  • Bonus Damage: 14 / 22 / 30 / 38
  • Bonus Night Vision: 1000

Lunar Blessing increases the damage of you and nearby allies, while granting yourself bonus night vision, enough to match your vision during the day. A simple passive ability that helps your team and gives you an edge over other heroes at night.

Eclipse[edit]

Dota 2 luna eclipse.png
  • Ability: No Target
  • Damage Type: Magical
  • Radius: 675
  • Strike Interval: 0.6
  • Beams: 4 / 7 / 10
  • Mana Cost: 150 / 200 / 250
  • Cooldown: 160 / 150 / 140
  • Scepter Beams: 4 / 8 / 12
  • Scepter Max Hits: 6
  • Scepter Duration: 1.8 / 4.2 / 6.6

Eclipse turns day into night for 10 seconds before randomly striking enemies with Lucent Beams, dealing damage equivalent to your current level of Lucent Beams but doesn't mini-stun. A really good ultimate, it can deal a ton of damage to a single unit. Since it turns day into night you can also briefly limit your enemy's vision.

Aghanim's Scepter can be bought by Luna and will increase the number of beams Eclipse does, increasing the maximum number of hits that can strike a single unit as well as increasing the duration of Eclipse itself.
