Spectre is a melee agility hero who is usually played as a hard carry. Her Spectral Dagger lets her track down an enemy, leaving behind a shadow path that allows her to walk through trees and over cliffs. Her Desolate makes her very deadly against a lone enemy hero. Her Dispersion reflects a portion of the damage she takes back at her enemies. She can also Haunt the enemy team, creating an illusion of her next to them, then warping to it with Reality, filling enemies with paranoia.

Abilities[edit]

Spectral Dagger[edit]

Dota 2 spectre spectral dagger.png
  • Ability: Target Unit, Target Point
  • Affects: Enemy Heroes
  • Damage Type: Magical
  • Damage: 50 / 100 / 150 / 200
  • Movement Speed Change: 5% / 9% / 14% / 18%
  • Duration: 7
  • Mana Cost: 130 / 140 / 150 / 160
  • Cooldown: 16

Spectral Dagger sends out a slow dagger that leaves a shadow path. Enemy units hit by the dagger will take damage and be slowed while also trail a shadow path. While on a shadow path you can walk unobstructed over any terrain. A good ability to chase down enemies. It is also a good escape mechanism, as you can fling a dagger into normally unpassable terrain and walk into there leaving your enemies behind.

Desolate[edit]

Dota 2 spectre desolate.png
  • Ability: Passive
  • Damage Type: Pure
  • Bonus Damage: 20 / 35 / 50 / 65
  • Radius: 325

Desolate deals bonus damage to an enemy hero without any of their allies nearby. The damage it deals is pure damage, which ignores armor and magic resistance. It does help her take down lone opponents, especially those tracked down by Haunt.

Dispersion[edit]

Dota 2 spectre dispersion.png
  • Ability: Passive
  • Damage Type: Pure
  • Min Radius: 300
  • Max Radius: 1000
  • Damage Reflected: 10% / 14% / 18% / 22%

Dispersion reflects a portion of the damage you take and returns it to enemies nearby. The further the enemy is away from you, the less damage it takes. You will not take dispersed damage, making this ability effectively a damage blocker. During teamfights, you can do huge amounts of damage back at your enemies as they try to focus fire at you.

Haunt[edit]

Dota 2 spectre haunt.png
  • Ability: No Target
  • Duration: 5 / 6 / 7
  • Incoming Damage: 100%
  • Outcoming Damage: 40%
  • Mana Cost: 150
  • Cooldown: 120

Haunt creates an illusion next to every enemy hero. At any time you can use Reality to teleport to an illusion. The teleportation is undetectable, and the illusions themselves are hard to diffrentiate from the real thing, as they take the same amount of damage and possess Dispersion. It can make enemies really paranoid, since the Spectre beside them could be merely an illusion or the real thing. It can also be used to catch up to a fleeing enemy, by using Haunt and warping to the illusion next to them.

Reality[edit]

  • Ability: Target Point
  • Cooldown: 10

Warps to a Haunt illusion, taking its place.
