Trunks is the son of Vegeta and the best friend of the second son of Goku. The Trunks playable in this game is Future Trunks (while the Trunks from the present is referred to as Kid Trunks to avoid confusion), the son of Vegeta from the alternate future timeline. In the future, Trunks was trained by Gohan, the first son of Goku, who died at the hands of the Androids. Trunks, being the only survivor, went back in time to stop the alternate future from happening by warning Goku and the Z Fighters about Android 18 and Cell and aiding in the fight against them. Aside from using Ki, Trunks also uses his sword as a weapon.
