Lap Time is special in the fact that it's like a race, but you don't need to wait for other players to load up the map. As its name says, you just race for the best time, and you get rewarded with mito, parts and exp.

It differs from normal races in that players cannot collide with each other, there is no damage meter, no gates, and colliding with any object will not drain your boost.

The rooms are automatically generated, and can contain up to 32 players (rather than the Battle Zone's 16), and a room will only contain cars in the same V Class.

Track selection is random, and based on V Class of the participating cars:

  • Moon Palace Tracks: Available to all.
  • Koinonia Tracks: Available to V2 and above.
  • Cras Tracks: Available to V4 and above.
  • Oros Tracks: Available to V6 and above.

Every lap you complete rewards you with Mito and EXP. The first player to complete 5 laps will start a ten-second countdown. After that, the top three times are rewarded with parts suitable to the player's level. (3 for 1st, 2 for 2nd, 1 for 3rd.)
