When the main storyline is finished an option in the Start Menu will open up, Era Change, which allows you to switch between 1977 and 2006 (or 'Now and Then') at will.
In addition to the Era Change, three new cars or added to your garage, they are the Atlus Racer, the Negotiator (a tank/apc type vehicle) and the Ram Raider.
