Eternal Sonata's controls are split into two types - one for use on the overworld, in towns and in dungeons, and another that's used exclusively for battles.

Note: To take pictures with Beat's Vivid Shot / Night Shot, use 
to aim, then / to snap photos.
Note: To aim with Viola's bow, hold down / and use to aim, then release / and tap / again repeatedly to release multiple arrows. Aim for the head to get headshots that increase damage and chances of critical hits.
