The old man is the first character that the player encounters. He appears before Benjamin on Destiny Mountain (the first area for the game). He explains the main objective of the game to players as well as giving the player information about the Focus tower, the most central point of the land that the game is set in. After a brief conversation, the player is attacked. After the battle, the old man tells the player where to go next and then flies off.
Throughout the rest of the game, he appears and give players more information on what to do next (basically he serves as a guide for the players). Only at the end of the game do you find out his true intentions as well as who (or what) he truly is…
