Recommended Car[edit]

From the New Car Dealership, the Mazda Roadster RS (NC) '07 at 25,000 credits is the best of the opponents you'll face, and since his car is pretty much stock, a few cheap tuning options (Sports ECU and Racing Air Filter for 1450 credits) will give you the edge should you be struggling.

Alternatively, the Mazda Eunos Roadster J-Limited (NA) '91 won as a prize for completing the Internation-B class licence with at least Bronze trophies can be tuned to win the race, for less money (~10,000 credits). Upgrades perfomed were Level 1 Engine Tune, Sports ECU, Racing Air Filter, Catalytic Convertor: Sports, Sports Exhaust Manifold and Sports Intake Manifold. The tuned car is underpowered compared to the Roadster RS, but is lighter to compensate meaning that although the AI car may have the edge on the straights, you should be able to make up for this through the corners. However, further tuning for B-spec will require the more expensive tuning parts, so it may work out more expensive than buying the new car if you plan on going down that route.

Races[edit]

The event consists of one individual race:
