Gravity Rush is a platform game developed by Project Siren and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for the PlayStation Vita, released in Japan on February 9, 2012, in North America on June 12, 2012, in Australia on June 14, 2012, and in Europe on June 15, 2012.

The game was initially going to be released for both the PlayStation 3 and the PlayStation Vita. The former system was intended to be feature an input for the Sixaxis controller, the DualShock 3 controller, and the PlayStation Move platform via the PlayStation Move motion controller, which features motion controls, and the PlayStation Move navigation controller, which does not; Sony, however, suggested dropping the development of the PS3 version completely, and instead releasing it exclusively for the Vita.

The first installment in the Gravity Rush series, Gravity Rush received a PlayStation 4 remaster, Gravity Rush Remastered, first released in Japan in 2015, and later, a sequel, Gravity Rush 2, released in January 2017.

Story[edit]

Gravity Storms have overrun the floating city of Hekseville, literally destroying the districts except for the old town known as Auldnoir, where Kat wakes up and, with the help of Dusty, rescues Eugie from a Gravity Storm she stopped from destroying the town. The two should recover Hekseville, whether she collects Precious Gems to fix the machinery or defeats packs of Nevi. Along the way, she meets her friendly rival named Raven, who is going crazy on her until later in the game, aided by an ornithological guardian named Xii.

Gameplay[edit]

It follows Kat, a young woman superhero, and Dusty, a mystical feline guardian that allows Kat to shift gravity whether she can fly or cause objects to float in the air, as they journey across various worlds to restore the floating city of Hekseville from invasive creatures known as Nevi.
