Once Officer Aki has reappeared on the screen, the VLM-5030 will announce Battery Park! in its male voice; you'll then have to start walking to the right as two Machineguns and two Molotov Cocktails come walking towards you. Once you fire a shot at each of these, to kill them, three more Machineguns will come walking towards you, from both sides of the screen - and once you've fired a shot at each of these to kill them, you will come to a Child. Once you have rescued him for 2000 points, you shall have to switch to the bazooka as you come to an oil drum; once you have fired a shot at it to destroy it, you'll receive a 5000-point bonus if Batman was hiding inside it. You will now have to take either the upper or lower path - and if you take the upper one you will come to a sixth Machinegun who is firing shots at you from a manhole. Once you have fired a shot at him to kill him, you will have to walk down and continue walking to the right; however, if you take the lower path, a third Molotov Cocktail will come walking towards you from behind. Once you've fired a shot at him to kill him, you'll come to two more oil drums - and once you've fired a shot at both of these to destroy them, you will receive another 5000-point bonus if Batman was hiding inside either of them (you may also turn back to the left to shoot the drums if you chose to take the upper path).
Three more Molotov Cocktails and a seventh Machinegun will then come walking towards you from both sides of the screen; once you have fired a shot at each of them, to kill them, you will again have to take either the upper or lower path. If you take the upper path, you will come to two more oil drums - and once you've fired a shot at both of these, to destroy them, you will receive a third 5000-point bonus if Batman had been hiding inside either of them. However, if you take the lower one, a Housewife will run down towards Officer Aki from the top of the screen; once you have rescued her for 1000 more points, you will have to walk down and continue walking to the right (you can also walk up, turn back to the left and shoot the drums if you chose to take the lower path). You will then come to an eighth Machinegun who is firing shots at you from another manhole - and once you have fired a shot at him to kill him, two more Molotov Cocktails shall come walking towards you. Once you've fired a shot at both of them to kill them, four more Molotov Cocktails, four more Machineguns and a Cat will come walking towards you from both sides of the screen; once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them, you will once again have to take either the upper or lower path. If you take the upper one, a thirteenth Machinegun will come walking towards you - and once you have fired a shot at him to kill him, you shall have to walk down and continue walking to the right. However, if you take the lower one, you will come to two more oil drums; once you've fired a shot at both of them to destroy them you shall receive a fourth 5000-point bonus if Batman was hiding inside either of them (you can also again turn back to the left and fire a bazooka shot at the drums to destroy them if you chose to take the upper path).
Two more Machineguns and a thirteenth Molotov Cocktail will then come walking towards you from both sides of the screen; once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them, you'll come up to a second Child. Once you have rescued him for 2000 more points, a commandeered trash truck will come driving towards you - and once you have fired off a shot at it to destroy it, a sixteenth Machinegun shall come walking towards you. Once you have fired a shot at him to kill him, a Citizen will walk up into view from the bottom of the screen; once you rescue him for 500 more points, a warning siren will get heard from the SN-76496 and the VLM-5030 will say You're in danger! in its male voice as two more Machineguns and four more Molotov Cocktails will come walking towards you from both sides of the screen. Once you've fired a shot at each of them to kill them, you'll come to seven more Machineguns who are firing shots at you from seven more manholes - and once you've fired off a shot at each of these to kill them, nine more Molotov Cocktails shall come walking towards you from both sides of the screen. Once you've fired off a shot at each of them to kill them, another Housewife will come running down towards you from the top of the screen; once you have rescued her for 1000 more points, the VLM-5030 will say Thank you! You've saved me! in its male voice as the text "HELLO! HELLO! IS THERE ANYONE THERE?" appears onscreen and the "stage clear" theme is heard from the SN-76496.
