In this stage, you get to explore the forest of Cookie Country and try out new abilities, as well as encounter the game's first puzzles.
Spin to win with Leaf[edit]
As you enter the stage, a Leafan will slowly fall from the sky. Inhale and swallow it to try out the new Leaf Copy Ability and climb the ladder. Check out your moves while clearing the path in a flurry of leaves. At the second thin platform, destroy the Puppet Waddle Dee and grab the burger to recover any lost health. Pass by the Bouncy between its jumps and jump onto the Warp Star, which will carry you into the depths of the forest.
Through the forest[edit]
When the Warp Star comes to a stop, head left to grab some point stars, and then continue right. Mind the bottom pit on your way to a Cutter copy essence, and jump into the latter to gain the Cutter ability. Using it, cleave your way through the Comos or cut down their ropes and proceed safely. Most Comos do not reach ground level, and their strings are not dangerous, so you can simply ignore them. Beware of the upcoming Leafan's coconut projectiles and the Bouncies guarding a donut. Eventually, you will find a Sir Kibble on a platform attached to the ceiling by a rope. This rope can be cut by most Cutter attacks and certain Leaf attacks, so be sure to use this technique to grab a blue point star ahead. You can find some more food at the end of the room.
Get cracking with the Crackler[edit]
Go down the stairs, breaking the star blocks in your path for extra poont stars if necessary, until you reach the Crackler. Like the Key before it, it prevents you from hovering and attacking. However, the Crackler will provide you with all the firepower you need. Plow through the opponents and jump up to hit the blue switch hidden under metal blocks. Alternatively, King Dedede can break these blocks with his hammer if you choose to play with another player. The switch activates a platform that you can use to safely reach the first Energy Sphere of the stage, blocked off by metal blocks. Throw away your Crackler with 
once you break them and hover up to the Energy Sphere. You can still grab the Crackler afterwards if it was not used too long. Break the star blocks blocking the door and head on.
Climb the tree[edit]
This area is vertical for the most part. Jump onto thin platforms above you to progress. After your first jump, you will find the Needle copy essence, which will prove useful in this room. Use your attacks to shield yourself from incoming Waddle Dees and Cappies or pierce through them. To the sides, you will find star block formations which you can break for food. When you reach the Maxim Tomato the right, be sure to check the top left corner of its enclosure to find a secret passage. This passage has an early sample of Invincible Candy, a special kind of food that grants temporary invincibility. Head out of the room and up the stairs, but do not immediately proceed to the next area, as an Energy Sphere is hidden in the treetops to the right. Grab some point stars under the star blocks below, and progress.
Mid-Boss battle[edit]
Two copy essences will be presented to you: Fire and Beam. Be sure to try out the latter as it is a new ability in this adventure. Your invincibility likely will have run out by the time you reach the Mid-Boss unless you skip all optional collectibles on your way to it. Gigant Edge is a large foe that uses his sword to chop and charge and a ahield to briefly guard once in a while. Keep your distance projectiles at him for a safe battle. Once you defeat him, be careful not yo touch him since he can still damage you. Eject your ability uper inhale Gigant Edge to get the Sword ability for the upcoming puzzle, which requires a slash through a wall to cut down a platform. Should you choose a less traditional method to cut down the rope (such as a foreign ability or summoning Meta Knight or Bandana Waddle Dee), make sure not to stand under the platform, otherwise it will KO whoever stands under it. Grab the Energy Sphere, then stop by for some fries and a burger and make your way to the Goal Door.
