In this stage, dive deep into the caves of Cookie Country, where you will find electrifying powers.

Shocker of an ability[edit]

As soon as you enter the stage, a Sparky will hop over some star blocks. Beware of his close-ranged attack and inhale him to gain the Spark Copy Ability. Use your new attacks to break the star blocks ahead, and release an attack, slide kick or air bullet at the bomb block to reach the next room. Once here, be sure to regularly charge up your Spark Barrier, which will grant you immunity to the Shotzos' bullets. Descend the ladders with Down dpad and follow the trail of point stars until you reach a Spark copy essence provided in the case that you lost or did not get the ability. At the bottom of the stairs, there id a split path. To traverse through the left path safely, charge your Spark Barrier to the fullest. Otherwise, use your Spark Attack in the star block-filled path to the right. You will reach the same door in both cases, but do not hurry to enter it, as there is an Energy Sphere hidden under the thin platform. Grab it and hover nack up, then proceed.

The crystal dungeons[edit]

You will be dropped into a new area from here. Here, the various platforns in your path move up and down, and the room is full of bottonless pits which yiu should keep in mind as you progress. On your way, you can find a Blade Knight and Leafan that can provide the Sword and Leaf abilities respectively. However, their attacks can still prove to be hindrances if you don't keep up a shield or stay far enough. Bouncies and Bouncy Sis will jump towards you as well, but they will not imoose a threat to your Spark Barrier. If you're in need of extra health, use your Thunderbolt (or other vertical attack) to break the star block under a cherry. Repeat the process with a bomb block to gain a 1-Up. Next up, a large heavy block should be inhaled after you discard your ability if you wish to collect some more food and free your path from obstacles. To compensate for the lost ability, a Hot Head stands at the end of the room, offering Fire. This, however, is not the only chance to recover an ability.

Shoot down the Shotzos[edit]

Upon entering the nexr room, you will immediately find a Waddle Doo, as well as the essence for the ability it provides: Beam. Use its ranged attacks to break the star blocks supporting Shotzos and bomb blocks guarding point stars (if you wish, you may still use Spark with equal success). Then, an Energy Sphere can be seen behind a locked door. Carefully jump onto the moving platforms and take out the star blocks under the Shotzo. Once you reach the other side, grab the Key, wait for the platforms to return, and let it carry you toward the locked door. If you misstime a jump, throw the Key away with 1 button and hover to preserve a life. A new Key will appear in the place of the first. Once you nab the second Energy Sphere, jump back to the other side and hover up the cliff. Continue destroying star blocks under Shotzos, but mind the floor under the Waddle Dees. To grab the food locked behind a bomb block, Revolution Beam is the safest attack method. Finally, watch a row of Shotzos fall after a last broken bomb block, and enter the door.

Race against Key Dee[edit]

This room presents a new hazard: spikes, which can easily strip you of your ability and destroy the ability star. Jump over these obstacles. You will reach a blue switch that lifts a barrier and prompts Key Dee to start running. As the name implies, this foe carries a Key that you will need to collect to obtain the next Energy Sphere. Your path will be full of obstacles, including star block walls, foes, and spikes. If you still have Spark, use the Spark Barrier to your advantage, but do not use Lightning Strike to knock out Key Dee, otherwise the Key will be stuck; otherwise, use your dash attacks. If at some point you need to recover your ability, a Hot Head can be found midway. Although taking damage would result in time lost, it will grant temporary invincibility to help ignore some foes. At the end of the race there is a second blue switch. Take care of the Blade Knight below and await Key Dee's arrival. KO it and carry the key over to the locked door on the right minding the bottomless pit. You will also be rewarded some poont stars. Jump out of the area with the Energy Sphere and make your way to the Goal Door.

Exclusively in Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe, you will find a Don Puffle near the end of the room. You may inhale him to gain the gain the Festival ability, but there is no particular use for its attack, so party away as you wish.
