Kozmik Krooz'r is a multidirectional shooter arcade game that had been released by Bally Midway in 1982; it runs on their MCR-2 hardware, and the player must an 8-way joystick to control a green alien named "Kapt. Krooz'r" (with a single button, to make him fire shots at the enemies, as well as a rotary controller to aim and activate shield). Ram Ships, Space Mines and Formation Fighters are worth 100 points, while Shooter Ships, Strike Ships and Mine Layers are worth 200, Scout Ships and Spy Ships are worth 300, and Speed Demons are worth 2500 - and, the player must guide Kapt. Krooz'r into the mothership (represented by a yellow plastic spaceship upon the cabinet, which spins around) when it emits a tractor beam. If you are using MAME to play this game, all you will see is the tractor beam on the screen; you'll also receive 5000 bonus points, every time you enter it. Every fifth round is a bonus round where Kapt. Krooz'r has to collect spare parts in the "Kozmik Junkyard" (without his ship) such as fuel tanks, motors, and bullet boxes - and if he takes them back to his ship, he'll earn an extra life. Kapt. Krooz'r also later reappears as the main character in Wacko, another MCR-2 game from 1982.
