Legendary Wings (アレスの翼 Aresu no Tsubasa?, "The Wings of Ares") is a fantasy-themed scrolling vertical shooter and platform game released by Capcom as a arcade game in 1986. A home version for the Nintendo Entertainment System was released exclusively in North America in 1988. The original coin-op version is included in Capcom Classics Collection: Volume 1 for the PS2 and Xbox and in Capcom Classics Collection: Remixed for the PSP.

The game starts as a shooter, and then becomes a platformer when the player is swallowed by various giant heads.

Story[edit]

The player (1-2 players) takes control of a young soldier (each player controls a different soldier) equipped with magical wings who must save the world from a malfunctioning supercomputer.

Interestingly, this story is similar to the Xevious series' plots.
